Here is an interesting old radio-intercom from the mid 1940s.  This is a an Electronic Labs brand - no model number anywhere.  This set works well and it sounds good.  It comes with a remote speaker.  You could use this to monitor your kids bedroom or put the remote in the garage.  It measures about 13" X 8" X 9".
