Here is a good looking Hitachi 8 transistor radio.  This is their model TH-848 made in Japan.  The radio plays loud and clear powered by a standard 9 volt battery.  The speaker is bigger than most transistor radios so it has a very good tone.  The back cover has some repaired cracks as you can see in the photos.  Otherwise, the radio looks great and performs well.  It measures about 5" X 3" X 1 1/2".
